Organization structure of the project

The Sustainable Mobility Plan for Prague and its suburbs is made by the Magistrate of Prague, pursuant to the resolution of the Council of Prague from July 21, 2015. It is developed in cooperation with the Institute of Planning and Development of Prague, with the Regional Organizer of the Integrated Traffic of Prague, the Prague Public Transit Company, and the Technical Administration of Communication of Prague under external project manager Mott MacDonald CZ.

A couple of teams at different levels take part on the development of the Sustainable Mobility Plan for Prague and its suburbs.

The strategic course and management of the project is within the responsibility of the Managing Council. The council decides about every important step in the development of the Sustainable Mobility Plan for Prague and its suburbs. It has 13 members and is led by the city Councilor for Traffic and EU funds, Mr. Petr Dolínek.



The Working Group is responsible for the development of analyses, proposals and submissions. It comprises of representatives from all the participating departments of the Magistrate of Prague, from Prague organizations and societies, to the Traffic Department of the Středočeský region.


The plan is consulted in all of its phases with the group a Partners, comprising of professionals active in the mobility area, either professionally or by interest. Representatives of the Partners participate in regular workshops and prepare their own proposals so they are co-creators of the plan. The wider public also has the opportunity to influence the project in the form of their own submissions and suggestions, participation in surveys, taking part in panel discussions, or through visits to presentation events.


The Council of Prague discusses the provisional results, while the final document will also be submitted to the Assembly of Prague for approval.
